What I did for Spring Break

 Over the Spring Break I had a lot of fun, my Spring Break started off a little earlier because I did move to another city. On Friday me and my friends celebrated because they were excited about me being back on the south. Saturday and Sunday of that same week I had to work, but me personally I enjoy my job. On Monday I slept all day to rejuvenate my energy from working. On Tuesday I had a client that wanted a retwist so I did that. On Wednesday it was my mother’s birthday so I took her out to eat and I bought her a cake from Insomnia cookies. On Thursday I went to a pool party which ended up turning into a block party. On Friday I did my hair and I went to this new nail spot that’s fully black owned and operated to get my nails done. Saturday I was back at work and me and my coworker are similar in age so we catches up about our week and our Spring Break and had a fun time doing so. Creating claims

 Today in class we were introduced to a new assignment called “Creating Claims”. In this assignment we basically did as the titles says which was create claims. We were giving a sentence and we had to make a claim for or against whatever the statement was saying. In my opinion this was a real good assignment for me I ended up finishing it up during 4th. I only had one more question but my third period was very busy. I’m now writing this sometime around 9pm because it dawned on me that I didn't hit the send off button my blog post. This might be the longest blog post i have ever typed because i genuinely have so much to say. After school I usually work Monday-Wednesday then a break til Saturday. Today at work my manager is Korean so she sent me to help an older woman jumpstart her car. So today I learned how to jumpstart a car and honestly I was really proud of myself for helping an older woman out and doing a good deed in general.

don’t follow be the leader

 Today in class we had to right down what we think is cool and not cool. At first I thought this assignment was weird but later we read a poem that related to the opening assignment. The pork basically was saying the things like drugs and alcohol are cool but they can be very dangerous. It also touches on how it’s always one person who knows it’s wrong but is following the leader. Today is going to be a good day for me because that poem really opened my eye even more.

wrapping up langston hughes

 Today in class we basically took a test on all the Langston Hughes poems. I feel so confident in this lesson because I am so good at black cultures. Sometimes when we are doing black history assignments in class it’s like I know exactly what to put what to say, my ancestors for real. But I feel like I did really good on the test and after I took my test I caught up on some work and got it all done cause like I said i’m really good at black anything for real.

langston hughes

 Today in class we read a poem by Langston Hughes and it was so good in my opinion. It really opened my eyes on how strong and powerful speaking up for yourself and fighting for what you want. Even though the person in the poem did not have the same rights as everyone else that didn’t stop him from believing that some day he might have them. This poem really was an eye opener for me because it had so much elements to the poem itself.

 Today in class we were received two worksheets. On worksheet had the poems on it and the other paper had to structure. We are doing this in order to help up with the EOC. I also learned what a complex account is today and how to make one. Today is Friday i’m very excited to see how the weekend is going to play out.

from mom to me

 Hello so today is Thursday my personal favorite day out of the week. I am feeling really good today in class we read a poem, i’m not quite sure what the title was but it from his mom giving him some advice on life. Our bell ringer for today we had to tell something important that our mom told us before. Overall this was a really good lesson i was very enhanced in class today because i was actually interrelated about the topic.
