 Today in class we finished up the movie. We answered some questions that related to it and finished up our packet. After watching this I realized it take education for granted. Also it was so heart warming to hear about their motivation of why they so determined to get to school. I now will be paying extra attention in school and no longer taking it for granted. 

 Today in class we took our assessment a little sooner. It was originally scheduled for Friday but since people were going to be out it was moved to today. I know I did really good on the test because I have been preparing for it all week. Usually I don’t stu say and I still didn’t but the point is everything we talked about in class helped me with the test. Well i have to go now because we are about to start a new assignment.

 Today in class we did an illustration assignment. We had to draw our childhood neighborhood I previously just posted a picture of it before this new blog. I think I did i pretty nice job to be honest. We didn’t really have to finish before the period ended but I did. On Thursday we will be presenting our illustrations and I can’t wait to see all the different creativity. 

 

 Today in class we did the discussion questions on the Rockpile. Last week we started this story and didn’t get to finish the questions for it. Answering the questions was a breeze because I took notes as I was reading the text. I am now confident in my understanding of the rockpile and what the story is tryna convey. Also the class today was really quiet and chill everyone was just doing they’re work. 

 Today in class we finished up a story called The Rockpile. I feel like the story was really good and relatable. Towards the end of the class we also touched on characterization and the different types. Two types of characterization we learned was Direct And Indirect characterization. Well that’s wraps up everything have a happy Friday I know I will. 

 Today we took a test on the poem we have been working on all week. Honestly I thought I was about to do too but i only got 20 questions right out of 30. How I feel about that, aggravated because I had all my notes and everything. Anywho I will not let this bring me down because it is Friday. Have a nice weekend!

 Today in class we had an hour to write a 40 line poem. In order to do this assignment I had to sit and brainstorm random topics, a topic that came to mind was hair. One day, I was in the bathroom, a random girl complemented my hair and added how she liked that I always have my hair really nice. But she also said how she hated her hair, and that didn’t sit right with me. I wrote this poem to help readers get a better understand of a girl and her hair.
