Constantly Risking Absurdity Questions

Today in class we did the questions on the back of the poem “Constantly Risking Absurdity”. I learned how annotating the text can help a lot when it comes to the time to answer the questions. I liked this lesson because it wasn’t quite hard for me considering that I was prepared the day before. In all honesty I plan to use an extended metaphor in some of writings now that I have a feel for what it means. Id also like to add how amazing i’m feeling today because it is HALLOWEEN 🎃.

Write about something that doesn’t get better.

I think getting old doesn’t get better. Being grown as a child seems so fun and exotic. Now that I am a teenager from what i’ve seen aging isn’t really all what it seems to be. Getting old comes with back problems, diseases, cancers, that you problably never had when you were younger, that you developed overtime. Same thing with healing, as you get older healing will take longer and many more cons. So as much as being older is enticed it just doesn’t get better health wise.

Write about a question you wished you asked.

A question that i wish I asked all day and everyday throughout life has never changed. It would be very chaotic if I asked this question out-loud and i wouldn’t really want being “messy” or “crazy” tied to my name. Instead of causing havoc I say it in my head but there are times where I wish I actually asked this question. “Who do you think you are?”. That question is really a good one and responses may vary but depending on the situation it could also be a bad thing to say.

Write about someone you forgot.

A person that I once knew that I often remember that I forgot about would have to be my uncle. Usually it is always easy to forgot relatives that you don’t quite see everyday. My uncle name is Smurf, I chose him because he looks exactly like my dad but with hazel eyes. It’s really surprising that Smurf is someone I forgot about occasionally because he looks exactly like my father and I don’t forget about him. I don’t  really feel bad though because i’m pretty sure he forgets about me too.

Write about when you knew something was over.

A time that I knew something was over was when i got caught sneaking out. What was over was the trust that my parents had for me. I knew that I would have to really work hard in order to get the trust back as well. Another thing that was over was being able to hang out without my parents looking over my shoulder every five seconds. Now, I am older and til this day things from my past still effect how I move around today.
