great gatsby


 


Today in class we presented our posters that we worked on for two days. My group got great Gatsby so this is how our poster looks. This assignment helped me get a better understanding of each of the characters. I wasn’t a fan of my group though, I’d much rather work by myself.

Looking back at this it could’ve been a lot better of the group I somehow ended up end participated a little more. I also think most of the class agrees to work alone. I feel like group work is just to help the kids who don’t do nothing already in the first place. And majority of the class don’t even like the book so it’s making it really hard out here. 

The lesson was basically us presenting our posters. We had to go to the front of the class and each speak. After we presented our posters we had to hang them. The lesson was pretty quick. And the teacher asked us questions and stuff. 

I don’t really understand what this paragraph supposed to be about so i’m going to reveal how I really feel about this lesson. I feel like the book is extremely out of my league and taste. Extremely ongoing, I used to be excited to do assignments when I enjoyed what we were reading. Too many people were complaining i’m guessing they white so obviously we had to listen to them and now me a black kid got to deal with this… book.

 Hey everyone I totally forgot about you all but let me get into what we have done today. Today in class we weren’t in there for long because we ended up going to the auditorium. At first I was like what are we going to the auditorium for but then once we got there I quickly understood.  My racial descent is Indian African American. My great grandmothers were Indian and their spouses were African Americans. We don’t really have any cultural things that we do or anything that I can remember that is why it was hard for me to complete this assignment. But I have created a collage to explain my heritage. I chose these pictures because this is my family and the best thing to explain is is that we be eating good and it’s all love and smiles.

Creating claims

 Today in class we were introduced to a new assignment called “Creating Claims”. In this assignment we basically did as the titles says which was create claims. We were giving a sentence and we had to make a claim for or against whatever the statement was saying. In my opinion this was a real good assignment for me I ended up finishing it up during 4th. I only had one more question but my third period was very busy. I’m now writing this sometime around 9pm because it dawned on me that I didn't hit the send off button my blog post. This might be the longest blog post i have ever typed because i genuinely have so much to say. After school I usually work Monday-Wednesday then a break til Saturday. Today at work my manager is Korean so she sent me to help an older woman jumpstart her car. So today I learned how to jumpstart a car and honestly I was really proud of myself for helping an older woman out and doing a good deed in general.
